How to Extent iPod Battery Life
Are you an iPod user? You know it so wonderful to listen to music or watch movies on the go on your iPod. But the battery life of iPod with videos is 20 hours. If you are a heavy user, it means that you need to re-charge iPod battery everyday. So, you may be annoyed the question that your iPod battery runs out so quickly?
Here is the good news. There are some tips that will get the most life out of your player. Here, I present some of the tips to extend your iPod's maximum battery life.
Tips 1: Turn Brightness to Minimum
By default, most iPods brightness is about maximum level. Instead of using auto-brightness, you can change the brightness of your iPod to minimal level. Keep the screen dimmer to conserve more of your iPod battery life. Go to Settings > Brightness to set the brightness as minimum.
Tips 2: Change the Backlight Settings
The backlight can drain a great deal of power. Unless you need it, turn it off altogether (Choose SETTINGS→ BACKLIGHT TIME→ OFF). If you need the backlight for low-light situations, adjust the setting to turn it turn off after a few seconds.
Tips 3: Just Use It
Use your iPod regularly to keep the electrons moving in your lithium-based battery. And charge it at least once per month.
Tips 4: Use the Hold Button
Turn your iPod off by pressing the play button for 2 seconds. Then turn on the Hold button to make sure it doesn’t inadvertently get turned back on.
Tips 5: Keep iPod at Room Temperature
iPod's battery works best when iPod is at room temperature, generally near 20° C, but you can use iPod anywhere between 0° to 35° C (about 32° to 95° F). If you have left iPod in the cold, let it warm up to room temperature before waking it from sleep.
Tips 6: Software Updates
Often times, the coders and developers fix mistake and improve the software that your iPod is running. Better code means improved battery life, so make sure you update your iPod every time there’s a new version.
